1960 - The Boeing Company

The 1960s were momentous years in Everett. The Boeing Company established a huge aircraft manufacturing plant in south Everett. Boeing’s arrival occurred at a time when the wood products industry was declining. On the Port side, it was preparing to handle the new aerospace cargo, while continuing to transform the north waterfront into a recreational district.
