1996 - Scuttlebutt Brewery opens on Everett’s Waterfront

Scuttlebutt Brewery opens on Everett’s Waterfront at the former site of the Everett Fish Company. This new enterprise marked the end of one era and the beginning of another.  As the fishing and canning industry on Everett’s waterfront dwindled a new recreational Port economy and culture was growing.  Scuttlebutt has been a thriving hospitality business on the waterfront and is now located here at the Port’s Waterfront center.

Did you know?

The term Scuttlebutt has many meanings most importantly its nautical definition referring to a drinking fountain on a ship.
